Meditation Session with Romy Valdez In-Person
Members will be asked to make a 6-week commitment. This group is limited to 10 participants.
Meditation and mindfulness have become part of our common language in recent years. Through the media and from our medical doctors we have learned about its many positive effects, however, there seems to be a myth that learning how to meditate requires extraordinary abilities. In reality, it is a simple practice that is accessible to all. The major benefits of this practice include decreasing stress and anxiety, improving concentration, attention, and memory, decreasing emotionally reactivity, improving our relationships and giving us an overall experience of well-being. You are invited to take this opportunity to learn the meditation process within a community of individuals that are open, accepting, motivated and committed to make positive changes in their lives. As a group we will learn how to put this practice into action by living mindfully and finding more joy in our daily lives. Sessions will be weekly for one hour beginning May 16, 2023, at the Hollis Social Library.
