Join us for a reception for our featured artist for the month of October.

Matt Cohen is a native of New Hampshire who has loved photography from a young age, taking landscape photos even as a child.  After learning more about the subtleties of lighting and storytelling through photography while developing film in his college darkroom and later attending workshops through the New England School of Photography, Matt was inspired to capture and share more unique moments through photography.  More recently, he has enjoyed exploring our national parks with his camera in hand and seeking out the splendor of nature here in New Hampshire.  Matt has especially enjoyed taking early morning kayak rides on Lake Winnipesaukee, where many of the images that will be on display were captured.  Matt regularly shows his work at the Beaver Brook Association non-profit nature and conservation center in Hollis, NH where he has earned the “Best to Theme” and “People’s Choice” awards at their Annual Fall Festival and Art Show.  He has won other awards for his photography as well.  To Matt, photography is an art of observation and feeling; sharing those photographic observations and having others make a connection through his photography brings him great joy.
