DIY Ginger Ale and Vanilla/Almond Extracts with the Grounded Goodwife In-Person
Extract me from this pandemic!
Making your own homemade products is an easy way to know exactly what you're eating and drinking. Most store-bought ginger ales are made by mixing ginger extract (and other flavorings) with carbonated water and high fructose corn syrup. You can DIY a healthier, probiotic-rich version of ginger ale at home! Not only is it delicious; it’s perfect for nausea, to soothe an upset stomach, and fight colds.
We all know extracts at grocery stores can be ridiculously expensive and they often contain corn syrup and fake dyes. But did you know that an estimated 95 percent of vanilla extract for sale commercially isn’t made from vanilla beans, but from lignin? Lignin is a byproduct of paper waste products that can be used to create “synthetic” vanillin. YIKES!
Join the mother-daughter team from Grounded Goodwife as they chat about ginger ale and vanilla/almond extracts and show you how easy it is to make your own right in your own home!
